Solidification is the key to billet/bloom/slab/ingot production. Without proper solidification the defects like Shape irregularities, surface cracks, subsurface cracks and other defects related to solidification will reveal directly or indirectly resulting in poor quality production in downstream units.
In modern steel plants the Continuous casting Machine is the production workhorse. For continuous casting machine designer the goal is to design the machine and associated equipment so that it is capable to give the desired metallurgical results. This becomes possible by optimizing the casting parameters, requirements from Steel Melt Shop and selecting the correct consumables.
We have a wide experience related to metallurgical design of continuous casting machines and understand the various control elements of the machine.
